Małgorzata Gąsiorowska's monograph devoted to Grażyna Bacewicz is the first comprehensive, exhaustive study of the life and work of Poland's most outstanding woman composer. We are introduced to the atmosphere of her family home in Łódź, and are given a picture of her musical life from the period of her Warsaw studies and start of her artistic career leading from Kaunas via Paris, Brussels and Geneva. Ultimately, we become acquainted with a unique individual.
