Csárdás
for Violin and Piano
Csárdás is a Hungarian folk dance in duple time. It was often performed in an inn (csárda = a country inn). It usually consists of two parts: slow (lassan) and fast (friss). The csárdás by Monti is one of the most popular pieces and is found in the repertory of every violinist.
