The first volume of the jubilee edition connected with the 400th anniversary of the publication of Mikołaj Gomółka's work. Melodies for Polish Psalter to the text of David's Psalter by Jan Kochanowski is an extensive monography discussing the life and work of M. Gomółka. The figure of the composer has been presented against the background of the epoch. The author has recreated in detail the biography of the composer as well as the analysis of the work taking into consideration the style, the form of the work as well as the the characteristics of the Polish language.
