''Oremus pro Pontifice Joanne Paulo Secundo'' is a choral song-prayer for the Holy Father John Paul II to Latin words from Liber Usualis. On 23 December 1995 the song was performed in the Paul VI's Hall at Vatican, in the presence of the Holy Father, by the Choir of the Academy of Catholic Theology from Warsaw directed by the Reverend Father Kazimierz Szymonik. The work enjoys considerable popularity and is often performed by choirs in Poland.
