Le Rossiniane
for Guitar Book 1, Opp. 119-121
Mauro Giuliani - a leading guitar virtuoso of the first half of the 19th century, was performer in the concert halls and salons of that era. Giuliani performed with such great virtuosi as Hummel, Mayseder and others. K. M. von Weber , reffering to his concert in Prague in the autumn of 1816, expressed the opinion that Giuliani had raised the status of the guitar to that of a concert instrument.
