The seventh volume of the ''Encyclopedia of Music PWM'' (M-O-Pa) contains 524 entries and discusses the activities of persons connected with music from antiquity to contemporary times. It includes comprehensive entries on such composers as Noskowski, Offenbach, Orlando di Lasso, Paderewski and Panufnik by outstanding Polish musicologists. Especially noteworthy are bibliographies of twentieth-century composers, some of them presented for the first time in Polish musicological literature.
