Music and sound are the intrinsic elements of every film. They intensify the sense of particular scenes they can make a movie funny or scary. The other time they are gripping and evoke various emotions in the viewers. If you asked about the best known and respected author of film music in Poland, without much hesitation, the majority would say: Wojciech Kilar. His relationship with film resulted in many hours of magnificent music, which not only enriched the films of the renowned Polish and international directors, but also, being autonomous pieces, is listened to and performed in isolation from the film images, to which it was composed. We offer you two books of easy piano transcriptions of the most popular themes and pieces from the films with Wojciech Kilars music. Thanks to the arrangements, prepared by a young Polish composer Michał Jakub Papara, the motives from such films as Dracula, The Pianist or The Ninth Gate can resound in the houses of each and every one of us.
