Hosanna
for mixed choir and organ
In 2015, Paweł Łukaszewski composed a short piece for four-voice mixed choir with organ accompaniment entitled Hosanna. Two years later, he also developed a version for female choir and organ. The composition is occasional and has mainly a practical function – it can be used to enrich the liturgical setting of Palm Sunday. It was written for the Musica Sacra choir operating at the Warsaw-Praga Cathedral, which is directly related to Paweł Łukaszewski’s conducting activity in the field of religious and musical life of this centre.
