Concerto for Guitar in Peculiar Tuning and Chamber Orchestra
Is a one-movement compositions with an extensive guitar part often with a cadenza character. The title peculiar tuning, consistent with the natural harmonic series divides the guitar strings into two groups lower in equally tempered tuning, and upper in quartertone tuning. This opposition becomes a form-shaping factor first the consonant content is being explored, then the dissonant, and finally there is a synthesis.
The piece was written by the end of 2011 and in the first quarter of 2012. It was commissioned by the 14th Silesia Guitar Autumn Festival in Tychy.
