Polish Christmas Carols
for Instrument in C with CD Accompaniment
This publication is quite special. It is addressed to pupils of music centres and those in the early years of primary music schools, but also to all others who have acquired the basic skill of playing any instrument. It is also possible just to sing along with CD accompaniment,as happens in karaoke, or - if the player is sufficiently advanced - to improviseusing the chord indications given above the musical text.
The works is also adressed to...the families of the above-mentioned instrumentalists who may, or even perhaps should, accompany them with singing. We know from our experience that Christmas carol singing usually stops after only one stanza - here you will find several stanzas and thus you will enjoy family music-making for longer.
That was my aim as I was arranging these beautiful Polish Christmas carols: let us sit around the Christmas tree, let us play, sing and rejoice. Let us return to Moniuszko`s idea encapsulated in Songbooks for Home Use...
