F. Kamiński

F. Kamiński

2 poł. XVIII w.

F. Kamiński, a Polish composer creating in the second half of the 18th century. Possibly, he was a member of the Jesuit band in 1764-1765 in Cracow. There are two pieces by him preserved in the collection of J. Żoliński: Zori ex B for 2 violins, 2 harpsichords, 2 horns, and bass, and Kącik ex B Koncik ex B for the analogous ensemble. The pieces are located in the Seminary Library in Sandomierz. Both of them are in the style of early classicism; their titles indicate a kind of illustrative chamber miniature, drawing on galant style, which includes the use of an instrumental recitative as well as the variation technique.
