The II December Festival - "Eugeniusz Knapik - w górę, w ciszę..." will be held from 13 - 16 December 2011 at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice. This will be the next artistic event, after a recent concert by the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, forming part of the celebrations of the composer's sixtieth birthday.

The National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Gabriel Chmura, will commemorate Eugeniusz Knapik’s 60th Birthday by performing his Introduction to Mystery. Eugeniusz Knapik is an eminent composer strongly associated with the musical scene in Katowice.
