The Dąbrowski Mazurka
with the Refrain Elaborated by F. Chopin, Reconstruction by M. Dubaj
''The Dąbrowski Mazurka'' originated in the Polish Legions of General J. H. Dąbrowski in Italy in July 1797. The words to the melody of a well-known folk mazurka were then written by Józef Wybicki. The song became very popular during the November Uprising in 1830. It became the national anthem on 15 October 1926.
