'I was in Heaven'
Conversations with Stanisław Skrowaczewski
The book is a record of three days of conversation with the distinguished conductor and composer Stanisław Skrowaczewski. A picture of an unusual artist, who devoted all his life to music, arises from these conversations. It is through music that this life has become a great artistic journey, whose stages have been formed by successive tours. Skrowaczewski talks about his personal life, his fascination with music, his encounters and friendships with first-rate musicians, about his work with leading orchestras and about his passions: conducting and composing as well as his favorite sports: skiing and mountain climbing. The book is rich with photographs from the artist's private collections.
