for clarinet, cello and piano
The Trio for clarinet, cello and piano is my second work, and at the same time my first contact as a composer with such instruments as clarinet and cello. It was crucial to me to combine extremely varied impressions in a single work – that which is widely regarded as beautiful or aesthetic with chaos or disorder. As the work unfolds, calmly led motivic passages gradually evolve until they reach a mighty climax; another time, they are combined according to the principle of contrast, with a substantial accumulation of the structures of the musical material.
