An Anthology of Contemporary Music - Marimba
The anthology contains four works by contemporary Polish composers intended for marimba. The marimba is a folk instrument used by African negroes, and is also popular in Central America. It is a kind of a gigantic xylophone. The works enable the performer to explore the instrument both in respect of unusual sound qualities and complicated rhythmic patterns.
