Concert Allegro. Variations
for Piano
These present Chopin's virtuosic technique to the highest degree. The composer derived his model from classical Viennese and the fashionable stile brillant compositions. Personal experience related to the concert practice of improvisation on given themes also had a decisive influence. Themes for Chopin's variations come from the song and opera repertoire.
