A cycle of seven short pieces, very typical of Grażyna Bacewicz's musical poetics of this period. (...) The piquancy of this essentially very simple Suite consists in combining the Baroque gestus (more Telemann- than Bach-like) with harsh diatonic harmonies coloured occasionally by chromaticism ''enveloped'', now and then, in quasi-tonal progressions of more relict-sentimental than ironic character.
