Jarosław Płonka

*1984

Jarosław Płonka was born on 28 March 1984 in Łódź, where he graduated from the Henryk Wieniawski Music Lyceum (a combined grammar and secondary music school) in the cello class of Robert Fender. In 2003 he was awarded 2nd prize at the Pupils’ Musical Forum in Warsaw for “Two Arabesques” for chamber orchestra. He studied musicology at the Jagiellonian University for a year. He was a student at the Composition Faculty of the Academy of Music in Cracow in the class of Professor Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar. In 2006 Jarosław Płonka received a Socrates Erasmus grant for an academic trip to Birmingham in England.
