Roman Maciejewski, a composer, pianist and conductor, was an unusually interesting and original figure in the twentieth century Polish music. Drawing on Polish folk music, the composer was able to obtain frm it a complete beauty, enrich it in an artistic, far from banal, manner without detracting from the essence of the original.
