Souvenir de Dresde
Op. 47 for Oboe, Piano and Cello
''Souvenir de Dresde Op. 47'' is a piece consisting of three sections with different tempos, played attaca and preceded by a short piano introduction. Although the title may suggest music of German character, we have here a Polish work written by a Polish composer and therefore something of a rarity in the Polish oboe repertory.
The present publication has been based on the manuscript copy preserved in the collections of the library of the Warsaw Musical Society (library no. R 1144). The title page and the introduction (the first page of music) were made by Dobrzyński himself, the rest - by a copyist. [Mariusz Pędziałek]
