Christmas Carols and Pastorales
in Easy Arrangement for Piano or Keyboard
The present little collection contains Polish Christmas carols and pastorales which are rarely performed nowadays and, as a result, little known to the younger generation. The aim of this publication is to make folk songs connected with Christmas better known and more popular. The collection is intended for children and young people at elementary and intermediate technical levels. The present Christmas carols may also be performed on widely used electronic keyboards. With this purpose in mind, each stave has been provided with the names of sounds, serving as examples, which may be utilised by means of the ''Split'' function. In this way, it will be possible to play with two optional timbres at the same time. The texts of the Christmas carols are taken from the publication ''Christmas Carols with Music'', collected by Jan Kaszycki, music revised by Feliks Nowowiejski, pub. Cracow 1911, ''Truth'' printing office.
