My Coluorful Cello
for Cello and Piano and for two cellos
The compositions included in this edition of My Colourful Cello [Moja kolorowa wiolonczela] come mostly from the first set I wrote (My Cello [Moja wiolonczela]), with a few new additions. The selection was prepared with beginner cellists in mind, and it was my work with the youngest budding musicians that inspired me to write these miniature pieces, as was the case with The Magic Cello [Zaczarowana wiolonczela]. The works included in this book are characterised by diverse means of articulation and interpretation. The interesting titles stimulate the young performers’ imagination, and the duets introduce the players to the world of chamber music and allow them to enjoy making music together.
