Sonatas op. 14
for piano
In the rich piano works of the Krakow composer Franciszek Mirecki (1791–1862), sonatas occupy a central place. Their style is characterized by classicism, particularly in the works of Muzio Clementi, Joseph Haydn, and Johann Nepomuk Hummel (whose student was Mirecki).
Three sonatas op. 14 are based on early classical sonata patterns, as evidenced by their two-part structure, but there are also elements referring to the brillant style.
