Christmas Carols for piano four hands, book 1
I present to you Christmas carols, which I like to think of as colourful musical pictures. Why colourful? My intention was to present the melodies of Christmas carols, which provide such a wide field for arrangement – and even compositional – activities, in a completely new and varied light. That is why each Christmas carol is a separate musical story, sometimes more akin to the jazz genre, and sometimes to Latin or classical music. Regardless of the nature of the individual arrangements, each carol musically emphasizes the textual layer it contains, which here, however, closes in a purely instrumental form.
