On 29 November, 2014, in The Teatr Wielki - Opera Narodowa Theatre, Krzysztof Penderecki conducted the performance of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki’s III Symfonia 'Symfonia pieśni żałosnych' Op. 36 (Symphony No. 3 - 'Symphony of Sorrowful Songs'). 

A solo part was performed by Beth Gibbons- a singer, a songwriter and a co-founder of Portishead band. She also performed with Narodowa Orkiestra Symfoniczna Polskiego Radia (The National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio). Due to experimental spirit of the concert, the event reverberated in Polish and foreign press. That evening we could also hear for example: Witold Lutosławski’s Muzyka żałobna (Musique funèbre), Krzysztof Penderecki’s Polymorphia, Jonny Greenwood’s 48 responses to Polymorphia and Bryce Dessner’s Réponse Lutoslawski.
