Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra has performed 17 times during this edition of the famous La Folle Journée festival. The underlying theme of this highly acclaimed event, held between January 23 and February 1 in Nantes, France, was "Passions". 

The programme of this edition of La Folle Journée in Nantes, France, comprised e.g. the music of the Viennese Classics, but also the works of Polish music. Sinfonia Varsovia played The Steppe, symphonic poem, Op. 66 by Zygmunt Noskowski under Alexandr Sladovsky and The Symphony of Sorrowful Songs No. 3, Op. 36 by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, with Marita Solberg as a soloist and Andris Pog as conductor. Their performance could not have been complete without the music of Fryderyk Chopin. The Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21 was played with Anne Queffélec as a soloist and Maxim Emelyanyche as conductor.

La Folle Journée is an international festival organised each year since 1995. The initiator and founder of the festival is René Martin, creator of festivals and organiser of numerous concerts of Classical music around the world, founder of the Centre de Realisations et d'Etudes Artistiques à Nantes (C.R.E.A.). The concept of La Folle Journée is overcoming the prejudice that surrounds classical music, by bringing the audience close to the music and maintaining the music presentation at the highest possible level. Short concerts held from morning until evening in many rooms at the same time, low ticket prices and a unique atmosphere make this music festival appeal perfectly to the taste of all visitors. Starting from 2010, the festival has also been held Warsaw.
