Between 6 and 19 September, the 50th International Wratislavia Cantans Festival will be held. The festival in Wrocław will see many world stars and will feature a comprehensive programme with pieces that are particularly involving for the human voice.

The jubilee has provided an occasion to plan two concerts with the programme that had been offered during the opening and closing of the 1966 festival, e.g. Magnificat by Mikołaj Zieleński, La espero by Andrzej Koszewski and Wierchy by Artur Malawski. Henryk Mikołaj Górecki's Symphony No. 3 will be performed by the Symphony Orchestra of the National Forum of Music under the baton of Maestro Tadeusz Strugała who is also celebrating his own jubilees this year: 80th birthday and 60th anniversary of his activity as a conductor.
