The premiere of the ‘Fanfare’ by Mikołaj Górecki

The premiere of the Fanfare by Mikołaj Górecki will take place on 16th February. The work was commissioned by Łódź Philharmonic to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
The Fanfare for orchestra and organs, which I wrote in autumn in 2015, is dedicated to all members of the Symphony Orchestra of Łódź Philharmonic. (...) I wish all the those associated with the Orchestra of Łódź Philharmonic many more years abounding in artistic success!

The programme of concerts capping the anniversary year of Łódź Philharmonic also includes Canzona di Barocco by Henryk Czyż, Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor Op. 11 by Frederic Chopin and Symphony Poem Thus Spoke Zarathustra Op. 30 by Richard Strauss. The Orchestra and the Choir of the Łódź Philharmonic will be conducted by José Maria Florêncio, the solo part will be performed by Seong-Jio Cho, a laureate of the 17th International Chopin Piano Competition
