The Festival of Seven Trends 19-25 June, Warsaw
2016-06-09

The Festival of Seven Trends will take place in Warsaw on 19th-25th June. This festival caps the celebration of the seventieth anniversary of the Association of Polish Composers.

The festival originates from the idea of “ordering” the latest history of Polish music, not according to the simplest, seemingly obvious scheme of separated decades, but title stylistic trends. The subsequent concert nights will have the following slogans: Intuition, Construction, Lyrics, Metallistics, Sound, Reduction and Energy.

The presented works will include those composed by Grażyna Bacewicz, Tadeusz Baird, Zbigniew Bargielski, Eugeniusz Knapik, Jerzy Kornowicz, Zygmunt Krauze, Andrzej Krzanowski, Aleksander Lasoń, Krzysztof Meyer, Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar, Paweł Mykietyn, Aleksander Nowak, Kazimierz Serocki, Tomasz Sikora, Marek Stachowski, Witold Szalonek, Tadeusz Wielecki and Agata Zubel.

Do you guess in what manner the works of individual composers were assigned to chosen trends? The answer and details of the programme are available on the Festival’s website.

Congratulations on the beautiful Anniversary!
