Paweł Łukaszewski (*1968) boasts an enormous output of choral and vocal-instrumental music. He shapes his music with rare ease and naturalness, combined with an excellent sense of expressive quality. His works are highly valued and frequently performed both in Poland and abroad by such ensembles as The King’s Singers, BBC Singers, Trinity College Choir, and others.
The festival in Legnica, which brings together the best choirs from all over the world, is the best context for the presentation of Łukaszewski’s latest composition.
Missa choralis for soloists, mixed choir and orchestra will be performed during an anniversary concert of the 50th Legnica Cantat by a quartet of soloists: Aleksandra Turalska (S), Ewelina Wojewoda (A), Sebastian Mach (T), and Michał Pytlewski (B), N-Harmonia Orchestra and the NFM Choir; the conductor will be Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny.
