Hebrew Melodies
for Clarinet and Piano
''Composed in 1997, with young performers in mind, ''Hebrew Melodies'' is a distant echo of the ''Melodies of the Hasidim''. Whereas in the ''Melodies of the Hasidim the composer used original material as his basis, he trusted his own invention in the ''Hebrew Melodies'', thus giving us an example of aninsight into the character and spirit of the exotic, after all, community of the Hasidim. The work has one movement and is rhapsodic in form.
