The ceremony of awarding Fryderyks, the Polish Phonographic Academy's Music Awards distinguishing e.g. the best 2015 albums, took place on 23 April, 2015. This year, one of the statuettes was presented to Paweł Łukaszewski and his CD Musica Sacra 5.

 

Paweł Łukaszewski received the Fryderyk in the "Best Chamber Music Album" category. The Musica Sacra 5 comprises "Responsoria Tenebrae" for vocal sextet (2010), "Advent Music" for string orchestra (2012), "Daylight Declines" for mixed choir (2013), "Lenten Music" for six saxophones (2011) and "Prayer to the Guardian Angel" for female choir, piano and Chinese balls (2013). The music on the record is performed by: Baltic Neopolis Orchestra, CANTATRIX Geert-Jan van Beijeren Bergen en Henegouwen - conductor, the "Musica Sacra" Warsaw-Praga Cathedral Choir cond. by Paweł Łukaszewski, Morpheus Saxophone Ensemble, proMODERN Contemporary Music Sextet.



The Academy also distinguished the following albums:
- Kilar/Moś/Aukso (with: The Aukso Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy under the baton of Marek Moś) in the "Best Symphonic Music Album" category,
- Kaja Danczowska. Recordings of 1974-2007 (Kaja Danczowska - violin) in the "Best Solo Album" category,
- Grażyna Bacewicz: Symphony for String Orchestra (with: Ewa Kupiec - piano and Capella Bydgostiensis cond. by Mariusz Smolij) in the "Best Polish Album Abroad" category.
