Mons, the European Capital of Culture 2015, showing a sing of respect to Wrocław, which is to be the Capital of Culture 2016, invites Polish artists to present the works of Silesian composers within the frame of the Contemporary Sounds of Poland project. The programme comprises Agata Zubel's Not I and Paweł Mykietyn's 3 for 13.

The music of Zubel and Mykietyn is now permanently inscribed in the landscape of concerts around the world. Colourful and sophisticated, in terms of both sound and image, Not I by Agata Zubel was composed to the text of Samuel Beckett. The piece was awarded at the 60th UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers. 3 for 13 by Paweł Mykietyn is based on a well-thought-out fugue structure which makes a foundation for pleasant melodic lines.
