Stefan Feliks Gąsieniec’s 12 Piano Miniatureswere inspired by the history of the Polish capital. Some of the titles refer directly to places familiar in pre-war Warsaw, such as the Lourse cafe founded by a Swiss pâtissier on ulica Miodowa, where the bohemian set would meet. Another work refers to the Ulrich Gardens, created in Chopin’s time, which soon became a place where the locals could relax among the flowers and shrubs. (...)
