Pastorale and Humoresque
for Oboe and Piano
Pieces were composed at the instigation of Ms. Krystyna Bentkowska, the headmistress of the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School in Warsaw. These are two contrasted miniatures combined in one whole. The lyrical, poetic and idyllic ''Pastorale'' passes directly into the dynamic, amusing and effective ''Humoresque''. The piece possesses both didactic and artistic values. It is intended for young performers and provides them with a perfect opportunity of presenting their acquired skills.
